A milestone in the Waste2Func project: Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant produced waste-based biosurfactants from pre-treated and sterilised food waste for the very first time in a dedicated Waste2Func bioreactor.
The waste based biosurfactants will be formulated in first of a kind highly innovative prototype consumer products.

The Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant and it’s biosurfactant spin-off company AmphiStar are thrilled with this important milestone.
